Apple's Safari web browser has made tremendous strides towards catching up to Internet Explorer and Mozilla's Firefox web browsers. Improved cascading style sheet handling, multimedia support and even security issues being addressed and improved, Safari has become a more viable web browser for Macintosh as well as Windows users with the launch of version 3.0.
One thing that has always frustrated me is that there is no way to turn
off underlined text links with a preference option. But I put together
a basic cascading style sheet that will remove those annoying
underlines without affecting any other part of the page.
Just click HERE to download the cascading style sheet.
To install:
Just unzip the safari.css file into any location you wish. Then open up
the Safari web browser and go to EDIT>PREFERENCES>ADVANCED. There
you will find an option for a style sheet. Select OTHER from the
pulldown menu and navigate to the cascading style sheet. Now
visit a website like Google News and you will no longer see the
underline beneath the text links. You can continue to modify the
cascading style sheet even more to customize your web browsing
experience.
