Being a graphic designer, I’m always looking at
accomplishing effects faster and more efficient. Style layers have been
a great addition to Photoshop and I try to utilize them as much as
possible to get me through my graphic work in as less time as possible.
Here are a few styles I created and that I’ve made available for you to
download and enjoy. Have fun.
This effect was created from the original wood style layer that came
with Photoshop 7. Changes were done in lightening the color overlay to
a few shades lighter brown. A one pixel stroke was added to enhance the
definition of the text.
This may be just a slight modification of
Photoshop’s original wood style layer but I think this layer will give
you a better weathered, wood-like texture to your objects.

You can click HERE to download this style layer.
