Page 1 of 2 Pursuit Force sounds like a very exciting game and I was very anxious to give it a try. There was plenty to like about this game. I mean, who wouldn't enjoy car chases, hopping onto cars, gunfire from every direction, right? So I popped this game in and here is what I found out about Pursuit Force for the PlayStation Portable. The first thing you need to learn is how to control the action. The developer spent a good amount of time making sure the controls weren't difficult to master. You only need to learn how to drive, how to stay on the vehicle, helicopter action and foot chases. You are given the option of using the analog stick or directional pad. You manage your moves through the PSP's action buttons. Jumping, braking, acceleration and attacks are done through your four buttons. Your upper left button handles your targeting while your right button is for firing. If you don't like the configuration, then you can change it. Before you can begin play, you need to create a profile. Once you complete that, then you can choose from Career, Race and Time Trial modes. There are also options for high scores, gallery and options. Career mode gives you a specific objective that you need to complete. Accomplishing these tasks would allow you to improve your officer ranking. Race mode is where you need to compete and win the race so you can unlock additional items. Time Trials is a cool test of your driving skills. First, you build your vehicle than you then you take it out to accomplish some missions. The high scores, gallery and options offer some extra elements to the game. High scores keeps track of your best scores, the gallery is a collection of game development content and the options provides customized features such as game action, controls and cheats. There is no shortage of enemies in Pursuit Force. You need to take down the Capelli crime family, the Convicts, Killer 66 drug runners, Warlords mercenaries and the female criminals called the Vixens. Beware of the Capelli family as they are pretty ruthless. While there are a number of moves you need to learn, I enjoyed the vehicle hopping the most. There's just a cool excitement jumping around at a high rate of speed. Hanging on for dear life, you attempt to either shoot your way into the vehicle or just fight your way in. The enemies will do whatever it takes to get you off the car. Wait for your time before you make your move, the enemy will have to reload their guns and that is when you need to make your move. Don't take too many hits or you won't survive the melee. The helicopter and foot chase missions are also a lot of fun. |
