Shades for iPod Touch is a thin, lightweight case to protect your iPod
Touch from the daily wear and tear of general usage. The Shades case is
only 0.4mm thick and the case comes in twelve colors.
The case is held together at a seam along the side of the case. This worries me a little because I am curious how long this will hold together after inserting and removing the iPod Touch from the case shell. The Shades case only weighs 0.5oz so it is not a burden to carry along with your iPod Touch.
To install the iPod Touch into the Shades case, firth you will want to clean the iPod Touch from dust and particles to ensure the best reaction to the touch screen through the Shades case. Then point the top of the iPod Touch to the bottom of the Shades case. Gently push the iPod Touch through the opening in the bottom of the case until the top of the iPod Touch reaches the top of the Shades case. The iPod should be fully covered inside the case.
Once it is in place, turn on your iPod Touch and you should continue to experience full functionality of the device through the Shades case. You might have to press a little harder to achieve some functions but the transition to the Shades case should be relatively seamless.
The only problem with the Shades case is that there is nothing to hold the device in place when it is inside the case. With a wide open bottom, there is an opportunity for the iPod Touch to fall out so you need to be extra careful handling the device while it is inside the Shades case. Overall, the case does a good job protecting the iPod Touch from scratches and dings while still providing full touch capabilities of the device. The Shades case for the iPod Touch earns 3.5 stars out of 5. You can click here to check the colors.
