Apple iPhone is one of the hottest tech products around but it is no good if it is broken and this is why you need to protect your iPhone with a solid, protective case which is why I picked up the OtterBox Apple iPhone case. The hard plastic case with its molded curves are designed to fit around your iPhone perfectly. The product comes in three separate pieces. You get a belt clip, the iPhone case and a silicone skin that fits around the iPhone case. To get your Apple iPhone inside the case, you will need to a bit of special care into opening the case. First, remove the silicone skin completely from the case because you are going to have to separate the case into two pieces. Once the silicone skin is off, you will need to release the three snaps near the top of the case. You will need to exert a little force with your fingernail or with a thin, flat object to loosen the snaps but don’t get too crazy because you don’t want to damage the case. Once the three snaps have been released, you will be able to pry the case open and slip your iPhone right into place. My biggest worry in using this case was the accessibility of the iPhone’s features. I have seen a number of cases where certain features would be covered up by the case. Fortunately, OtterBox took every feature of the iPhone into consideration because there is direct access to all ports such as the sync/charge, volume, headphones, home buttons, etc. The soft, clear screen protector will line up perfectly with the iPhone’s screen and the touch sensitivity will not be affected. The only issue I found was that the case would not snap tight into the belt clip. There is a notch on the side of the case that is supposed to help hold the case inside the belt clip and it does to an extent. I wish the notch would fit a little better and that it would snap into place inside the belt clip instead. A quick motion or jolt could shake the case loose from the belt clip. If you are only carrying your iPhone in casual situations such as at work, meetings or traveling, then this issue will probably not affect you. Overall, the OtterBox iPhone case protector is a really solid product. I felt my iPhone was very safe inside the case and that it could withstand heavy daily usage. The hard shell case and the clear protector over the touch screen did not hinder my usage at all.
