Imoeba iPod nano Case Review Imoeba designs and produces iPod cases but they do so with an eye on being environmentally aware. I wasn’t sure what this would mean when referring to an iPod accessory but I was curious to see if an eco-friendly product could rival other similar cases. Here is what I discovered about the Imoeba case for 3rd generation iPod nanos.

When I purchased the case and took a glance at it, I was a bit skeptical because of the bonded leather shell. I thought the case would be flimsy and wouldn’t provide much support for the iPod nano but I was surprised to see a hard backing plate sewn into the back of the case. The is nice because at least it would help prevent the iPod nano from possibly being crushed.

The front lid also felt like there was something inside to provide additional support on the front but to also keep the lid’s shape intact. I also discovered two small magnets near the lower corners of the lid. As you move the lid to about an inch from the case, you will notice the lid being pulled into the case, closing it shut. My iPod nano slid right into position and fit snug inside the case. The areas for the iPod nano’s display and click wheel were cut out so you have direct acc

Imoeba iPod nano Case Review Overall, I was very impressed that a product like the Imoeba case for the 3rd generation iPod nano could withstand the daily use that these devices would endure. The only issues I have with the case is that the clip on the back of the case is not removable and there is no way to plug your dock in for a recharge while it is in the case since there is a flap over that area at the bottom.

Other than that, the hard backing to provide support for the iPod nano and the two magnets on the lower ends of the lid do a nice job providing support and protection for the ultra-thin iPod nano. Even though the case is covered in bonded leather and soft shell cases usually don't perform well, the Imoeba case for the 3rd generation iPod nano offers some pretty good protection. The Imoeba case earns 3.75 stars out of 5. Good recommendation.

About Imoeba
Imoeba cases are made from bonded leather. This is a man-made material consisting of genuine leather scraps.Imoeba cases are environmentally and ecologically friendly because we use recycled leather scraps which are very difficult to eliminate and would otherwise be destined for the landfill.  Even though the bonded leather used in the making of Imoeba cases are recycled and man-made the look, feel, quality and durability is as close to genuine leather as you can get without actually exploiting animals directly for their skins.
