XtremeMac Names Hottest Summer iPod Travel Accessories XtremeMac announced its hottest-selling Summer iPod travel accessories. These innovative products allow you to charge, broadcast, and protect your iPod on the go.

If a road trip is in your plans, be sure to take a charger that plugs into your 12-volt accessory outlet or cigarette lighter to keep your iPod's battery fully juiced. XtremeMac's universal car charger fits all iPods with dock connectors and there is a USB version for the iPod shuffle. For iPod nano owners, check out the MicroFlex Car, a gooseneck charger/dock that not only charges your iPod nano, but also positions it within easy reach.

While you're in the car, listen to your iPod's tunes via your car stereo using a cassette adapter or the AirPlay2 FM Transmitter. The cassette adapter plugs into your iPod on one end and features a cassette-tape adapter that goes right into the cassette deck to transmit the songs directly to your stereo. The AirPlay2 is a wireless option that simply tunes to an empty FM frequency, turning your iPod into a miniature FM broadcaster. The original AirPlay, which is still available, works with older iPod models and the iPod mini and a special version exists for the iPod shuffle.

If you have a DVD entertainment system in your vehicle, entertain passengers with video content stored on your iPod using the RoadShow cable. It connects your iPod to the entertainment system with RCA input cables and charges it at the same time.

The MicroBlast turns your iPod nano into a compact stereo for the beach or camping trips, powered by AA batteries or an A/C adapter. If you'd rather keep the music to yourself, a set of FS1 high-definition earphones can block out background noise and create a lush, live-audio quality you've probably never heard from your iPod. If you're hiking, jogging, or working out this summer, the SportWrap neoprene armband will keep your iPod secure and dry. SportWrap features an adjustable velcro strap and a play-through plastic membrane to keep the iPod Click Wheel accessible while protecting it.

XtremeMac's products are available via the company's website at http://www.XtremeMac.com, at Apple's retail and online stores, as well as Wal-Mart, Target and Radio Shack.
