ContactPage provides and easy way to create picture contact sheets with
user-defined captions. Users can now catalogue a folder containing images,
create clip art manuals in seconds, or publish a product sampler online all
with QuarkXPress documents that are fully manageable and editable.
ContactPage has a comprehensive set of customisable features that lets users choose page size and margins, grid layout, picture and text box dimensions, as well as extensive caption information. It also provides the ability to import pictures into an existing document, auto-save at regular intervals, and even resume cataloguing after a break. To indicate where the images get imported from, users simply specify a source folder. There is also an option to include images located inside subfolders allowing users to catalogue an entire hard-drive or CD regardless of how many folders they contain. Rows, columns and margins define the grid that ContactPage creates and its interactive preview removes any guesswork by showing you exactly how the contact page will look. Users can customise the picture box width, height and shape, as well as specify how the picture should fit the box. Additionally, users can choose to fit the picture to box, the box to picture, or specify any fixed scale. Options for centring and changing the layering order are also available. ContactPage captions can be made to describe their corresponding images in minute detail. ContactPage lets users choose from picture number, name, full path, image size, format, colour model, image resolution, creator, date modified, dimensions and picture scale. Users can also add any prefix/suffix custom text to be placed before or after the picture file information. Captions can be positioned above or below pictures and at any specified distance, and ContactPage can also create a style sheet for the captions allowing the ability to make global changes quickly and move on. To facilitate the production of catalogues with a large number of images, ContactPage comes with a unique 'resume' feature that lets users begin or continue cataloguing after interruption on any given page, picture, row or column they choose. For example, users can instruct ContactPage to leave one blank page, start with the 25th picture in the folder, and leave one blank row and two blank columns on the first contact page. The completely redesigned ContactPage 2.0 for QuarkXPress 7 features include: - An import picture list, with options for sorting, removing and changing the order by which pictures get imported - A new mode that allows users to annotate all pictures in an existing document with captions and then remove all annotations in one step. - The ability to specify box colour, opacity and other attributes to text and picture boxes. - A new user interface. ContactPage 2.0 is available through XChange International. To order, or for more information, users can visit www.xchangeuk.com |
