Pound Hill Software announced MetaGrove Suite 1.1 for MAC OS X platforms, a new
software suite of products that provide XMP metadata capabilities to
users of Adobe Creative Suite CS2.
The MetaGrove Suite toolset optimizes descriptive metadata to fuel
digital workflows. Plug-ins on MAC OS X platforms are available for
Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and
Adobe InCopy. Building on Adobe’s Extensible
Metadata Platform (XMP) open-source labeling technology, MetaGrove
improves digital media workflows and allows repurposing of digital
assets by making digital media files easier to describe and faster to
find.
The MetaGrove Suite provides standardized cross-platform and
cross-application metadata consistency, server-based support for
controlled vocabularies, and the ability to automatically enforce
compliance with corporate and departmental standards. MetaGrove Suite
toolset facilitates source file repurposing and extends the lifecycle of
digital assets by encouraging wide-spread acceptance and implementation
of metadata as part of the day-to-day workflow. The end result is
greater productivity and efficiency.
Applications within the MetaGrove Suite toolset are simply installed as
a plug-in in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, InCopy and Acrobat.
Once installed, schemas are instantly available as menu items within
above named applications. In addition, all of the expanded XMP
capabilities offered by the standard MetaGrove plug-in are available to
the user. “If you are looking for the easy way
to label and repurpose your assets, we are confident that you will find
your answer within our tools,” said Jury
Balta, Product Marketing Manager at Pound Hill Software.
