Pexagon's myDrive LOST-N-FOUND and Customer Laser Engraving product identification systems enable users to physically encode their hard drives with information to facilitate quick identification in the event the devices are misplaced or lost.

Pexagon Technology, a manufacturer and distributor of Store-It Hi-Speed USB portable hard drives, today announced two new services that allow owners of the Company's portable drives to customize, personalize, and protect the units.

The service allows users to create an extra layer of protection for their portable Store-It drives, which are capable of storing thousands of digital photos, data files, MP3 files, and hours of digital video--all in a shirt-pocket sized device. The black, anodized, extruded aluminum alloy drives are ultra-thin, measuring a slight 1.3 cm thick and 7.8 cm wide, and offer the EZ Touch(TM) One-Button Backup, the most intuitive backup system on the market.

Elevated Protection for Modern Users
Custom Laser Engraving allows customers to personalize their Store-It drive enclosure with original text for fast and easy identification, to catalog the drive and its data, or to serialize the drive to meet corporate policy. Using Custom Laser Engraving, hard drive owners can give their individual drives their own distinctive identities for more efficient tracking and security.

For users seeking an additional layer of security, the myDrive LOST-N-FOUND solution, offers an ideal solution for any user that stores important data on a hard drive. State-of-the-art machinery engraves an exclusive identification number on the drive enclosure, which is then recorded with its owner's contact information in Pexagon's database. Anyone locating a lost or stolen unit can simply log onto the Pexagon website and enter the engraved ID number shown on the unit and some additional information to receive a reward as Pexagon arranges for the safe return of the drive unit to its owner, free of charge. Throughout the process, the owner's personal information always remains confidential.

Pexagon offers both services to Store-It USB hard drive owners for just $9.99 each.
