iHikes is a web-based delivery service that provides Adventure Crossing's outdoor recreation content to be purchased and downloaded for playback on a variety of mobile handheld devices, such as Video iPod, PSP, PCs, Laptops, and Macs.

Content on the website includes Video Trail Guides, Proper Gear and Clothing, Wildlife, Wildflowers, Camping/Lodging information, and other topics identified by land management professionals that are key to a safe and rewarding outing.

This service is the first of its kind, merging outdoor content and technology to help travelers prepare for their adventures. iHikes can be found at www.ihikes.com. iHikes offers two membership levels. Pay-As-You-Go (sign up for free, all video segments are .99 cents). Explorer Level - $19.95 annual membership (all video segments are free to download). Several of the video segments are free to all members.

The video library contains over 150 video segments, including more than 70 video trail guides. National Parks currently included on the website are: Arches, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountain, and Zion National Parks.

iHikes provides content for the seasoned backcountry traveler and the first-time park visitor, including families. With over 17 million PSPs sold worldwide and the obvious popularity of Apple's Video iPods, this website provides an easy and convenient vehicle to utilize these handheld devices for pre-trip planning and travel reference.

Adventure Crossing continues to produce new content and expand their focus to include other public and private recreation areas.

Adventure Crossing creates their own intellectual property and works with the staff at each National Park and Park Cooperating Associations to identify topics specific to each location.

With increasing park visitation and decreasing park budgets, there is no time like the present for travelers to be as self-reliant as possible.

Adventure Crossing LLC, is an interpretive media company head-quartered in Kane County, UT. iHikes is the web delivery division of Adventure Crossing LLC, offering download capabilities for Adventure Crossing LLC's content.
